TATEYAMA WAKASHIO 51.5 k TRIATHLON, June 3, 2016: Get into the summer spirit with Standard- and Sprint-courses and relays for men and women, aqua-thlons for elementary aged kids, and a challenge course for middle schoolers on up. 18TH ANNUAL TATEYAMA OPEN WATER SWIM RACE, July 17-18, 2016 in Kagamigaura (Mirror Bay), welcoming participants from 1st graders through the over-75 crowd. 5-k on the 20th, and 3-k, 1-k, relays, and kids’ OWS clinics on the 21st. Rankings by age.

22nd ANNUAL ALL-JAPAN COLLEGE FLAMENCO FESTIVAL IN TATEYAMA, Aug. 7, 2016
Passionate performances by 180 leading flamenco dancers from college teams around the country, joined this year by professional alumni dancers and musicians. Ticketed performances at the Chiba Prefecture Nanso Bunka Hall until 5 pm,and then a general outdoor free-for all, joining townspeople and pro dancers in a carnival-like atmosphere. Numerous related events from August 6 – 10, at Aeon Town, the Nippon-maru cruise ship, etc.
Admission is free, but tickets are required that will specify admission times. Inquire at Tourist Information at Tateyama Station or go straight to Nanso Bunka Hall and queue for tickets there.
